Bridget Parrish, CPA, CA
Auditor General
Bridget started at the office as the as the director of professional practices. She leveraged her private sector experience to modernize the office’s audit practices, while developing her deep knowledge of auditing standards. She also brought her commitment to the values of credibility, accountability and transparency to her strong focus on developing and empowering employees. She also served as acting deputy auditor general and equity, diversity and inclusion lead from January to December 2025.
Bridget is a Chartered Professional Accountant and is a member of the Canadian Audit and Assurance Standards Board, helping to shape emerging standards and representing the interests of the Canadian public sector.
She was sworn in on Dec. 1, 2025.

Sheila Dodds, CPA, CA, CIA
Deputy Auditor General
and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead
Sheila joined the Office of the Auditor General in 2010 and was appointed deputy auditor general in 2021. Prior to her current role, Sheila was an assistant auditor general for 10 years with responsibility, at different times, for performance audit, information technology audit, professional practices, legal services, training and development, and critical audit support services. Sheila was born and raised in B.C., is married and has two adult children.
She served as acting auditor general effective November 15, 2024 to November 30, 2025.

Marie Thelisma, CPA, CMA
Assistant Auditor General
Marie Thelisma joined the Office of the Auditor General at the end of November 2022, as assistant auditor general overseeing the critical audit support services portfolio. This includes IT, HR, administrative and financial services, and communications. Previously she worked with the B.C. Ministry of Health, where she led the audit and investigations branch. Born in Haiti and raised in Montreal, she speaks Creole, French, and English.

Financial Audit and Related Services
Lisa Moore, CPA, CA
Assistant Auditor General
Lisa joined the Office of the Auditor General in 1998, and held auditor, manager and principal roles before becoming the assistant auditor general for financial audit and related services in December 2023. In this role, Lisa oversees the audit of the Province’s Summary Financial Statements as required under the Auditor General Act, and the audit of other provincial entity financial statements, such as Crown corporations, universities, colleges, school districts, and health authorities. In her free time, Lisa enjoys being active, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Stuart Newton, CPA, CA
Assistant Auditor General
Stuart Newton joined the Office of the Auditor General in 2016 and is the assistant auditor general responsible for the financial audit and related services portfolio. This work includes financial statement audits of the Province’s summary financial statement and crown entities.

Performance Audit and Related Assurance
Laura Hatt, MPA
Assistant Auditor General
In October of 2022, Laura Hatt became the assistant auditor general of performance audit. In this role she oversees the portfolio that is responsible for most of the office’s performance audit reports, including examinations, audits of government programs and services, and the Annual Follow-up report. Laura has over 20 years of experience leading both performance and internal audits throughout the B.C. government and has led many large audits in the health and social services sectors. In addition, she has worked as an internal auditor for the Office of the Comptroller General of British Columbia and held management, policy, and research positions within the health and social services sectors. Laura has a master’s in public administration from the University of Victoria.

Amanda Welch
Legal Counsel
Amanda joined the office in 2011 after four years as an investigator for the BC Office of the Ombudsperson. She has worked in private practice as a lawyer and with the Employment Standards Branch of the Ministry of Labour as an industrial relations officer, adjudicating and mediating workplace complaints. She often represents the office in its dealings with government and the legislature. She also provides interpretation on issues and advice to the auditor general and staff on legal matters related to audits, corporate management, and administration – including human resources.
